Overview
The Kailash Yatra used to begin in Kathmandu, Nepal and proceed through the border town of Hilsa to reach Tibet. However, now the only way to reach Kailash Mansarovar is through the Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand, India. From there, pilgrims travel to Taklakot in Tibet and then proceed to Kailash and Mansarovar.
